HCW climbs charity league
ACCOUNTANCY firm Horwath Clark Whitehill has climbed five places in two years, to second place in a league of charity sector auditors.
The firm, which made the number two spot in the The CaritasData charity league 2009, has 50 not-for-profit and charity clients on its books in the North West, including Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Manchester Settlement and Liverpool Hope Students’ Union.
Nationally, Horwath Clark Whitehill took on 20 new charitable clients in the last year.
Vicky Szulist, audit partner at Horwath Clark Whitehill responsible for not-for-profit in the North West, said: “These are very pleasing figures that recognise the significant efforts of the firm’s not-for-profit team across the country. The firm’s specialism in not-for-profit and the benefits it brings to clients is acknowledged by an increasing number of charities.”
Baker Tilly took the top spot in the league for the sixth consecutive year.
The CaritasData charity league 2009 is based on the top 3,000 charities in the UK. CaritasData is a financial information provider specialising in the analysis of the financial performance of UK charities and other not-for-profit organisations.
