Appointments: Wormald’s Capital switch; New FDs for Parkwood and NorthEdge
NORTH West dealmaker Carl Wormald, has left his role as joint head of the Manchester office of Lloyds TSB Development Capital to take up a post in the private equity firm's London office.

NORTH West dealmaker Carl Wormald, has left his role as joint head of the Manchester office of Lloyds TSB Development Capital to take up a post in the private equity firm’s London office.

 A statement from LDC said: “Carl Wormald is supporting LDC’s New Business team in London, targeting investments across the South East. His move forms part of LDC’s ongoing strategy to ensure we have the right skills and experience across our 14 offices”.

The Manchester office is now led by Ray Stenton.

PRESTON-based Parkwood Holdings, the outsourced support services provider, has appointed former European Colour and Grater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive finance director Michael Quayle as its new FD.

Mr Quayle trained as an accountant with KPMG, where he spend 14 years working in Manchester, London and Preston.

Tony Hewitt, Parkwood’s executive chairman, said: “I am please to welcome Mike to the Board where his experience from KPMG and then European Colour  will be invaluable”

EMMA Rawlinson has joined North West turnaround fund NorthEdge Capital as finance director.  She moves from Deloitte, where she was a founder member of its debt advisory team.

NorthEdge was launched by four leading businessmen last month, Andy Ball, Grant Berry, Tim Murphy and Dan Wright. It launched with £10m and is looking to raise up to £200m for a turnaround fund.

She said: “It’s exciting to be part of the NorthEdge vision.We’re already in talks with a number of local and national businesses and wealthy investors, so I’ve hit the ground running. I’ve previously worked with Tim and know the rest of the team well.”
