Sceptre agrees £1.5m deal with Thwaites

SCEPTRE Leisure, the AIM-listed gaming group has secured a new contract with Blackburn brewer Daniel Thwaites.

The two-year deal, worth around £1.5m, will see Sceptre supply more than 450 machines to around 50% of Thwaites’ managed and tenanted estate.

The Preston-based group supplies around 21,000 fruit machines and other gaming products to the leisure sector. It has sales of around £40m.

The Thwaites deal follows last month’s agreement to supply 200 machines to SA Brains in Cardiff.

Chief executive Ken Turner said: “The new Thwaites deal underlines the close working relationship developed between our two companies over more than twelve years and we are delighted to be able to continue this association.

“Coupled to our recent contract win for new business from Brains, I believe this demonstrates that Sceptre continues to offer the most innovative and customer-focused coin-op solutions available to pub operators across the UK.”
