Swizzels makes commemorative Love Hearts for Royal Wedding

SWIZZELS Matlow, the confectionery firm based at New Mills in Derbyshire, has produced a special limited edition ranges of its Love Hearts sweets in honour of Prince William’s forthcoming nuptials.

The firm is selling boxes of 50 mini-rolls of Love Hearts for £19.99. Each wrapper reads “Royal Wedding, 29th April 2011, William & Catherine” and the sweets are embossed with a ‘Just Married’ design.

Sarah-Louise Heslop, of Swizzels Matlow, said: “Our Royal wedding line will celebrate Prince William and Catherine’s marriage, and is perfect for families of all ages to enjoy at street parties or keep as a memento. Congratulations to the happy couple.”

The firm said that it is proud of its history of supporting the Royal Family. Princess Diana opened the firm’s new factory in 1990 when Love Hearts were created for  her, Prince William and Prince Harry.
