NES Group co-founder steps back into chairman’s role

Ross, who had been non-executive chairman since Graphite Capital’s £86m buy-out of the business in 2006, is relinquishing the role to concentrate on other chairmanships such as his role as chairman of Enterprise Ventures. However, he will retain his stake in NES.

Ross is being replaced as chairman by NES Group co-founder Geoff Lloyd.

NES Group chief executive, Neil Tregarthen, said: “Stephen continues to be a notable shareholder in the business and to be very confident in the future strategic direction of the NES Group.

“I’d like to thank Stephen for his contribution over the last four and-a-half years.

“I am delighted to say that Geoff Lloyd will now take over as non-executive chairman – a role that he has performed admirably in the past.”

He said the firm had no intention of appointing any furher non- executive directors.

In the year to October 31, 2010, NES Group increased sales by £6.5m to £284.7m. Pre-tax profits also climbed by 15% to £4.5m.
