Kingsland invests £1m in wine storage

SALFORD wine supplier Kingsland Wines and Spirits plans to invest £1m at its plant this year.
The Irlam company plans to overhaul its wine cellar and install 42 new stainless steel tanks. It is the largest investment made by the business since it was bought by managers in 2004.
Manufacturing director Mark Dixon said: “We’ve been planning this project for some time. It is important that we continue to invest in, and adopt best practice, and this investment demonstrates our commitment to doing this.
“We want to exceed our customers expectations in all areas of the business and we are very focused on ensuring we do this. Our new cellar will ensure we can maintain our flexibility and receive and handle our products efficiently for many years to come.”
The company plans to carry out the work in two seven-week phases. The improvements will be finished by October.
