OUTSOURCED management services group Mitie has agreed to buy a rival for £130m.

OUTSOURCED management services group Mitie has agreed to buy a rival for £130m.

Mitie is acquiring the entire share capital of Dalkia Energy and Technical Services and Parkersell – referred to as Dalkia Technical Facilities Management (DTFM) – in the cash deal.

DTFM operates throughout the UK employing more than 2,700 people. It has two sites in the North West, both in Manchester.

The business is being acquired from Dalkia plc, part of the Dalkia Group which is controlled by French utility giants Veolia Environnement and Electricite de France.

Mitie said the deal would enhance its service portfolio and position the enlarged group as the, “partner of choice” for clients seeking integrated facilities management services. The enlarged group is expected have sales of £1.8bn.
