Appointments: Ralli gets litigation head; SACO appoints five

MANCHESTER law firm Ralli has appointed David Potts as head of its litigation team.

The East African born lawyer, who will oversee the day to day management of the eight-strong litigation team at Ralli, joins from Staffordshire-based Hacking Ashton, where he was head of dispute resolution and managing member.

He brings expertise in insolvency, misfeasance summonses, director disqualifications and preferences and transactions on undervalue.

The firm added that Mr Potts’ experience in shareholder disputes will complement the firm’s expertise, following the launch of Ralli Partnership Law – a dedicated service for all partnership issues.

Martin Coyne, managing partner at Ralli, said: “David is a valued asset to our team and his appointment means we are well placed to grow our business law division and our portfolio of services within this.”

SERVICED apartment company SACO has appointed a team of five to run its Manchester apartments.

Vicci Hollies has been appointed as apartment manager and joins from the Holiday Inn in Chester where she was general manager for four years.

She said: “After working in the hospitality sector for over 20 years, I believe that serviced apartments offer a different approach to business travel. They have established themselves as a smart alternative to hotels, providing guests with an affordable home from home.

“We’ve now got a great team in place at the Manchester apartments and I’m looking forward to working with them and building awareness of the SACO brand in this area.”

SACO has also appointed John Clarke as assistant apartment manager and Patricia Psuj, Karla George and Liam Ashforth as receptionists.

SACO opened its 48 apartments in Piccadilly Place earlier this month. They are set in a 10-storey residential building, known as The Hub.
