Chester gets young professionals society

A NEW society is to be launched for Chester’s young professional community.

Called Symposium, the society officially launches next week, and aims to help make the city a better place to do business.

It has been set up by accountancy firm Baker Tilly, law firm DTM Legal and wealth management company Brewin Dolphin.

Symposium will meet every six to eight weeks to provide a forum for young professionals to meet and discuss topical business issues, and to look at ways to utilise the skills of its members to benefit charitable organisations and the local community.

Edward Collier, an assistant manager from the Chester office of Baker Tilly, said: “There is a vibrant professional community here in Chester which has a lot to offer the wider business community.

“Sally Chadwick of Brewin Dolphin, Thomas Pearson of DTM and I all felt that a network such as this was long overdue and could provide an essential voice for young professionals.”
