Pellet firm plans growth with bank support

A FIRM the specialises in making animal feed and other materials into pellets has secured working capital from Barclays to support future growth.

Compound Feed Engineering (CFE) started out supplying feed pellets but has since expanded to cover wood chip for the biomass industry and plastics.

The business has its head office in Kerry, Ireland, but a UK operation at Haydock, Merseyside, which employs nine staff.

Managing director Con Lynch said: “Barclays has been very supportive of our requirements and I have been impressed by their innovative approach which demonstrated a clear understanding of our business and our positioning within the sector.

“We want a bank for the long-term that provides us with strong support and who understands our market. We are confident that Barclays Business can deliver for us now and in the future.”
