Appointments: Burns promoted at Alexander Myerson; McBride FD names start date

LIVERPOOL accountancy firm Alexander Myerson has appointed a new partner.

Paul Burns, 31, previously an accounts and audit manager, Has been promoted to the position of associate partner. 

A qualified chartered accountant with extensive experience, Mr Burns is a specialist in audit and accountancy work, with specialist experience in working with SMES and charities.

He said: “I’m really pleased to have made partner as it will give me the opportunity to have more say in how to take the business forward.

“In particular I am very keen to increase our portfolio of clients in the charity sector as this is an area which I have both a keen interest and high level of experience in.”

Senior partner Richard Myerson added: “Paul has made partner at a young age, which is testament to the skills and talent he has shown at Alexander Myerson.  I think he will be a great asset to the firm.”

LISTED own-label  shampoo and shower gel maker McBride has confirmed the appointment of Richard Armitage as finance director. He will assume his new role on November 1.

Mr Armitage joins from Premier Foods where he is currently the finance director of its Grocery Division. McBride has been without an FD since April when Ian Johnson resigned for personal reasons.

HAYDOCK-based Intrinsic Technology has appointed Andy Crawford as development manager for its Mitel offering.

Mr Crawford, who joins from Bailey Teswaine where his role was senior account manager for Mitel products and services, will be based out of Intrinsic’s London office.
