Bacon to open Australasia bar next month

TIM Bacon, one of the two founders of the Living Ventures restaurant and nightclub business, is to launch his new Australia-themed bar/restaurant at Spinningfields next month.

Bacon, who also owns The Alchemist bar at Spinningfields with business business partner Jeremy Roberts, said that he was taking what he loved about modern Australia and bringing it to Manchester. This includes its Pacific Rim cuisine, with Southesast Asian, Indonesian and Japanese influences.

The venue will have a glass-fronted entrance on Spinningfields Square. It will also have a light night bar with live DJs.

“I’m aiming at a bit of cool, downtown Sydney, down under in Manchester,”  said Bacon.
