Cartwright wins Howdens trailer order

HAULAGE trailer manufacturer Cartwright Group has won an order worth more than £500,000 from joinery chain Howdens.

The nationwide kitchens and joinery supplier to the building trade have ordered 60 4.2-metre straightframe Clearspan curtainsider trailers.

The trailers will transport Howdens Joinery products to its 450 trade outlets from its three main sites at Runcorn, Northampton and Howden as well as from its other bases around the UK.

Family-owned, Altrincham-based Cartwright has already started work on the order.

Charlie Nissen, Howden’s national transport manager, said: “We wanted to make sure that we had the trailers that could give us the maximum benefit when it came to ensuring that all our trade outlets and all our customers were supplied efficiently.”

Last week Cartwright won a £1m+ plus order with Scottish haulage group Malcolm.
