Sharewatch: Frenkel director sells; Paul Bell builds Driver stake

A director and major shareholder of Salford-based Frenkel Topping Group has sold more than 300,000 shares in the business.

Richard Fraser disposed of 304,607 shares on Wednesday taking around £9,000 at the current share price of 3.25p. He still holds more than 10 million shares representing 18.3% of the share capital.

Frenkel Topping advises on investment of personal injury damages and clinical negligence awards. In July it recorded a half-year loss to June 30 of £9,457 compared with £71,219 last time blaming volatility in the financial services sector.

ISLE of Man-based value investor Paul Anthony Bell has increased his stake in the Driver Group.

His holding in the Haslingden company, which advises construction and engineering firms on contractual disputes, grew to 3.5% of the share capital on Tuesday.

He bought 250,000 shares when they were priced between 64.5p and 65.5p. Mr Bell also holds stakes in the Manchester stockbroker WH Ireland and the Altrincham shopfitting business Styles & Wood.
