Airport upgrades T3

MANCHESTER Airport has completed a makeover of Terminal 3 following earlier upgrades to Terminals 1 & 2.

Airport chiefs said that following the upgrade of the larger terminals, it surveyed passengers to find out what they wanted and had incorporated their suggestions into the redesign. Improvements include better signage, more information screens an improved security area and better shops and catering.

New shops have been opened by Dixons Travel, Rolling Luggage Swatch and Tie Rack, while a new Trattoria Milano food outlet has also opened.

Manchester Airport’s managing director, Andrew Harrison, said: “Passengers travelling through Terminal 3 have told us that they think Terminal 3 could be improved which is why we have invested in the departure lounge.

“Although this work addresses the main five areas of concern for our passengers, we know that there’s more to do.  Passenger feedback will continue to be part of our focus on creating a great experience for travellers through Manchester Airport.”

The airport said that £2m had been spent on the redesign, on top of the £80m that had been spent on T1 and T2 since 2007.
