Govt sets sights on kitchens business

THE government is seeking to wind up a Bolton kitchens business in the public interest.
It has presented a petition in the High Court to wind up In the Box, which supplies and fits kitchens. The Official Receiver has been appointed provisional liquidator.
The move follows an investigation by the Companies Investigation Branch of the Insolvency Service.
A spokesman for the Insolvency Service would not give any further detail about the case ahead of a High Court hearing in Manchester on October 15.
The service usually takes such action to protect the public from the trading practices of a business.
In the Box trades from premises in Albion Mill, Coe Street, Bolton. The most recent shareholder information at Companies House shows it is owned by Philip Hill of Bolton and James Atkinson of Hayfield, Derbyshire.
