Appointments: New recruits at Savills, DLA Piper, DTZ, JMW and more

LAW firm DLA Piper has recruited asset finance law specialist Alan Cunningham to its Manchester office.

Cunningham joins from DWF, where he had previously held the positions of Head of Asset Finance and Head of Banking and Finance. He has more than 15 years’ experience in structured asset finance and receivables law and will lead DLA Piper’s asset finance team.

Cunningham has been joined by asset finance solicitor Michael Nelson, who also joins from DWF.

PROPERTY consultancy Savills has appointed Russell Hall as operations director of its national property management business.

Hall will be based at Savills’ Manchester office at Belvedere on Booth Street, but will oversee operations across its entire managed property portfolio. He joins from DTZ.

DTZ has recruited surveyor Simon Roddam to its office agency team in Manchester.

Roddam joins from BE Group in Warrington, where he gained six years’ experience in the North West commercial property market.

LAW firm JMW Solicitors has apointed Evan Wright as a partner in its business crime and regulation department.

Wright joins from Draycott Browne where he was also a partner, but had previously worked for JMW for seven years.

Wright works across all areas of business crime and regulation but specialises in asset recovery and confiscation. 

The head of the JMW’s business crime and regulation division, Peter Grogan, said: “I am delighted to welcome Evan back to JMW for his second spell in our Business Crime and Regulation team after an eight-year absence.

“Evan brings with him an exceptional combination of experience, skill and commitment, not to mention a client following, and will be a significant asset to the team.”

Barnfield Construction has recruited Jenny Martin as an estimator.

Martin, who is currently studying for an MSc in Construction Law, has previous experience in pricing pricing apartments, student accommodation, education and healthcare schemes nationwide with values ranging from £100,000 to £30 million.
