Printing.com sees September ‘upturn’

HIGH Street printer Printing.com enjoyed its strongest month of the year in September.
In a brief trading statement the Manchester-based group said there had been an “upturn” in September, in common with previous years.
But sales during the month were still slightly down on last year.
The group added: “Since the last market update, trading continued at a similar underlying level during July and August.”
Printing.com owns around six stores has a franchise estate of 40. It also has about 220 “bolt-ons” which are usually attached to an existing business such as a design firm.
In the year to March 31, pre-tax profits fell 14.9% to £2.06m while turnover increased 7.3% from £13.5m to £14.5m. The company plans to unveil its interim figures on November 10.
