Liverpool calls for MIPIM support

THE organisers of Liverpool’s presence at MIPIM are calling for businesses to give their support to next year’s event.
Liverpool will again be represented at MIPIM (Marché International des Professionels d’Immobilier), the world’s biggest property fair held annually in Cannes, next year from March 16 to19.
The city will have an exhibition stand, presentations and business events planned to entice business people from around the world to invest in the city.
Liverpool will also use the event to showcase the city’s involvement in the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
Organiser Liverpool Vision said it is offering businesses a single level of sponsorship at £5,000, which it said reflected the economic climate while retaining all of the essential business elements to maximise the value of attending.
Mike Taylor, director of investment and enterprise at Liverpool Vision, said: “For everyone who attended in 2009 it was the best event to date. While numbers were down because of the economic downturn, it meant that there was a real concentration of business activity.
“The success of Liverpool at MIPIM in the last few years has come from the growing strength of the public/private sector partnership with the private sector taking the lead and this relationship will serve us well as we emerge from the recession.
“Next year marks a significant opportunity for Liverpool and those organisations which support our on-going efforts to promote the city as a world class destination for investors and visitors.”
Liverpool’s stand will be situated in the Riviera Hall (R27.18).
