Accountant to expand with £2.5m

STOCKPORT accountancy firm Clarke Nicklin has bought new offices and is planning further expansion after securing a £2.5m funding package from the Yorkshire Bank.

The firm has acquired offices at Cheadle Royal Business Park and will move from its current base in the Hazel Grove in December.

Clarke Nicklin, whose services include strategic planning, audit and accounts, corporate transactions and wealth management, employs 40 staff.

Partner Andrew Baggott said: “We’ve achieved considerable growth in recent years, expanding both our team and our range of specialist services. Our move will give us the room we need to build on that success and continue offering the highest levels of service to our clients.”

Mark Preston, relationship manager at Yorkshire Bank in Manchester, said: “We continue to support, as we always have done, successful trading businesses and Clarke Nicklin’s strong recent growth and clear expansion plans meant we were very willing to assist the firm with those plans.”
