India Mill letting leads to creation of 150 jobs by Blackburn paper business

A new tenant has signed up for a 153,000 sq ft site in Blackburn, leading to the creation of 150 jobs at the former Graham & Brown site.
Wallpaper manufacturer Graham & Brown announced the sale of its India Mill site in late 2023, linked to its plans to evolve into a design-led, brand-led, digital business.
India Mill was acquired earlier this month, for an undisclosed sum, by Blackburn-based property business, The Adhan Group, which has now let the 5.5-acre site to local tissue manufacturing company, Euro Paper, on a 10-year lease.
Euro Paper is relocating from a 30,000 sq ft site in Philips Road, in the town.
Its new premises are significantly larger, which has led to a recruitment drive for 150 new staff, as part of the company’s expansion plans.
Abid Khan, director of Euro Paper, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be relocating our operations to this fantastic new site.
“It offers us the perfect platform for growth and expansion.”
A spokesperson from The Adhan Group said: “This is not just a win for us – this is a win for Blackburn, and a proud moment for us to be part of one of the largest lettings in the north at the beginning of this year.
“Bringing industry and employment back to this landmark site is something we’re incredibly proud of.
“It reflects our commitment to revitalising key locations and supporting economic growth.”
The transaction and letting represent one of the group’s most notable accomplishments in Q2.
