Law firm launches online consumer product

MERSEYSIDE law firm Canter, Levin and Berg is taking its consumer legal services online, with a 24-hour service and fixed upfront fees.

The law firm, which has offices in Liverpool, Kirkby and St Helens, has launched the online brand, called LawOptions.co.uk, with the aim of making it easier for consumers to deal with legal issues.

The company said the website will allow clients to process consumer legal issues as easily as online banking or travel bookings, as well as offering clarity on costs from the outset.

The LawOptions.co.uk website gives fixed price legal products, allows online tracking of case progress via a password protected site, and offers direct communication with a qualified case handler via phone and email. 

Initial legal advice on all areas of consumer law is available from the trained Law Options legal team 24 hours a day, with access to qualified solicitors being made available from 8am to 8pm, six days a week. 

The more accessible and transparent service comes as a competitive response to  allowances made by the Legal Services Act for big businesses to offer legal services to their customers, dubbed Tesco Law.
