Kuits launches Family service and hires four

LAW firm Kuits Solicitors has moved into Family law and also boosted its intellectual property and construction offer.

The Manchester firm has hired Lisa Kemp to launch the family team, which will operate within its private client department.

Executive partner, Robert Levy said:  “Lisa brings with her a wealth of experience and a strong reputation within the market.  Family is an area we have been looking at for a while, and is a natural extension to our private client offering.  We are delighted to welcome someone of Lisa’s calibre.”

In addition to the new service, the IP team, headed by Ian Morris, has added consultant Rudi Kidd and solicitor Louise Routledge.

For many years Rudi ran Gray & Co based in Manchester, his own practice advising clients on entertainment, sports and media law.  Louise who joins from Lee & Priestly in Leeds strengthens the contentious IP team.

Levy added: “Given the expansion of our IP activity over the last 12 months, which includes advising on a number of high profile cases, we are taking the opportunity to broaden and strengthen the service we can give to clients, both old and new.”

Also joining Kuits is construction solicitor Simon Franklin who previously worked at Trowers & Hamilins LLP in London.

In addition to the recent appointments the firm has also promoted David Marlor and Duncan McGregor to associates in the banking and real estate finance and residential property departments respectively.
