Recruitment sector body launched
A NEW body for recruitment and HR professionals has been launched today.
Based in Manchester the Institute of Recruiters, a not-for-profit organisation, has been set up to represent the interests of the sector and also to offer members high-level training courses.
This focus on professional education will allow members to grow their careers and businesses through internationally-recognised university qualifications. The IOR also provides access to free software, best practice guides, knowledge webinars, CPD training, model documents, support and advice.
A LinkedIN Group launched earlier this year in the run-up to the launch proper attracted around 4,000 members, which emphasised the need for the new body.
Dave Barber, director of member services said: ““We have been thrilled with the volume of activity that has taken place in the IOR’s LinkedIn Group in the lead-up to the launch, which has shown there’s a real need for a body like the IOR within the sector.
“The organisation will be a hub of best practice, where members can share knowledge, collaborate and connect with peers from across the world. We are excited to start welcoming members into the organisation.”
