Dooley on the move in Manchester

CONSTRUCTION consultancy Dooley Associates has signed a lease to move into newly-refurbished offices at Royal London Asset Management’s 1 St Ann’s Street building in Manchester city centre.

The company, which was founded by Brendan Dooley in 2003, has signed a five-year lease with a three-year break clause for 1,900 sq ft of space on the fourth floor of the building.

Canning O’Neill acted on behalf of Royal London and Dooley Associates represented itself. The firm, which has moved from existing space in the city’s Northern Quarter, has also recently opened an office in London and is embarking on a rebranding in a bid to boost its profile.

Managing director Brendan Dooley said: “Refreshing the brand and moving office is part of our plan to establish Dooley Associates as a national company with its roots in Manchester. Since 2008, as with many companies, we have had to consider the effects of the banking crisis and although there are only a few green shoots at present it is important that we are ready for the years ahead for our current and future clients.”

James Dickinson of Canning O’Neill said: “Dooley Associates is a perfect tenant for Royal London and it’s great news that they’ve taken a whole floor. We take this as a positive sign that the market is receptive to this sort of newly refurbished space at 1 St Ann’s Street.

“The remaining 2,391 sq ft on the 3rd floor is now in solicitors’ hands.”
