Pinewood Hotel sold for over £2m
THE Pinewood Hotel in Wilmslow has been sold by the Menzies Hotels group to the firm that owns Kendal's Castle Green hotel for over £2.25m.

THE Pinewood Hotel in Wilmslow has been sold by the Menzies Hotels group to the firm that owns Kendal’s Castle Green hotel for over £2.25m.

The 58-bed hotel has a a restaurant, bar, five meeting rooms (40-150 capacity) and extensive parking for guests and visitors including ‘park and fly’ arrangements for nearby Manchester airport.

The hotel has also recently been extended and modernised but has outbuildings currently containing storage and staff accommodation that could also be redeveloped.

Martin Davis, director of corporate hotels at Christie + Co’s Manchester office, said: “We’re delighted to have achieved such an excellent price on the freehold on the Pinewood Hotel on behalf of Menzies Hotels. We’re certain the new owners will be delighted to have acquired such an attractive and commercially successful business.”

Until recently, the Best Western Castle Green Hotel Kendal’s owners also had Manchester’s Princess Hotel on Portland St on its books, but this was sold to Macdonald Hotels in January and has been rebranded as Macdonald Townhouse Manchester.
