Lufthansa adds Mcr to NY and Dallas cargo routes

LUFTHANSA Cargo, the cargo subsidiary of German airline Lufthansa, is to start new weekly freight services from Manchester Airport to both New York and Dallas.

The new freight only services will fly from Frankfurt on to Manchester twice a week, before continuing on to either JFK in New York or Dallas.

The MD11-Freighter services will operate from October 29 to March 25, 2010, but may be extended.

The stopover in Manchester is an additional stop on the route to meet the demands of a specific customer, who Lufthansa did not want to name.
