Ex-FA chief Barwick joins NW soccer firm

THE former head of the Football Association has become chairman of Kickworldwide, a soccer development firm based in Cheshire.
Brian Barwick, who ran English football between 2005 and 2007 and is a former head of sport at the BBC and ITV. said: “I am very excited to be joining Kickworldwide.
“The company has an excellent track record and very promising future. I hope to
play a significant part in growing the business.”
Kickworldwide Director Steve Cartwright said today: “Brian’s appointment is a
tremendous addition to our senior management team. His experience in
football administration and broadcasting is unrivalled and he is a globally
respected figure in the sport.”
Tabley-based Kickworldwide was founded by Mr Cartwright and former Stockport County FC commercial director Steve Bellis.
The business identifies, develops and manage football playing talent from hard-to-scout territories.
It is also behind the hit soccer TV talent show Soccer Prince, which has launched in China and is being rolled out across Asia.
