Green Surgery opens North West branch

A PRIVATE health clinic for the Polish community has opened in Manchester city centre.
Green Surgery launched its first clinic in London last April and the Manchester surgery is its second location.
The company was set up by gynaecologist Christine Tajchman and her husband, orthopaedic doctor Slawomir, who realised there was a strong demand from the Polish community in this country for medical services performed by the Polish-speaking doctors, particularly in the areas of gynaecologists and dentistry.
Dr Christine Tajchman said: “Poles still prefer to go home to visit the doctor, not only because of language barriers, but also because many of them still trust Polish professionals more.”
The company has moved into 18-22 Mosley Street, taking a second floor 1,785 sq ft suite on a ten year lease.
It is open from 9am to 8pm and offers services from a range of medical experts including gynaecologists, dentists, orthopaedists, paediatricians, psychiatrists, orthodontists as well as general practitioners.
It has fitted out the clinic to include high-tech medical and diagnostic equipment, a reception area and private consulting rooms.
Mikolaj Skrzypiec, UK manager for Green Surgery, added: “Since opening our first UK surgery in London in spring 2008 we found that many of our patients were travelling from the North West to London to use our facilities. Our new premise in the heart of Manchester provides a hub for patients in the North West and allows us to provide affordable private healthcare.”
The deal means the building, owned by North West developer Orbit, is now fully occupied.
Paul Codling, senior leasing surveyor at Orbit Developments, said: “This particular type of business is a first within our portfolio and we are anticipating great success on behalf of Green Surgery due to their existing Manchester-based patient list.
“The unrivalled public transport connections on its doorstep make Mosley Street the ideal location for the surgery with access to both Central Manchester and communities beyond the centre.”
