EV opens Midlands office

NORTH WEST investment fund manager Enterprise Ventures has opened a Birmingham city centre office and rebranded itself as EV.
The Preston-based fund manager, which also has offices in Manchester and Leeds, has opened the office on Temple Row in the heart of the city’s financial district, to strengthen its presence and build networks in the East and West Midlands and Southern regions.
EV has appointed Simon Ward as investment director to head up the Birmingham office. He has worked in the Midlands corporate finance market for the last fifteen years and most recently was an investment director with ISIS Equity Partners.
Jonathan Diggines, chief executive of EV, said: “EV has been active in the Midlands for some time, and our new Growth Funds are targeting SME investments across the UK. It is therefore a significant step for us to open our office in Birmingham, building on our network of offices in the north of England.”
He added: “In recent years, the business has been transformed. It has grown to £70m under management, with specialist fund management expertise in early stage technology businesses, and in the SME sector. It is a business with a new name, a new brand image and a bright future”.
The company has also launched a new website at www.evgroup.uk.com.
