Downtown hosts Liverpool Business Week

DOWNTOWN Liverpool in Business is to host a four-day series of events from Monday as part of its Liverpool Business Week initiative.

The business networking group will host an event at which new council leader Cllr Joe Anderson will discuss his first year in the role and a City of Enterprise event featuring Redrow founder Steve Morgan and Jonathan Ortmans of the Kauffman Foundation who will discuss its decision to host the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Liverpool nexst year.

Frank McKenna, chairman at Downtown Liverpool in Business, said: “The week will focus on some of the key challenges that are facing the city and its business community.

“Our speakers are some of the most seasoned entrepreneurs who have a depth of knowledge and an ability to provide invaluable business insight to our delegates.”

Max Steinberg, chief executive of Liverpool Vision, added: “I am particularly pleased that Jonathan Ortmans will be contributing to the week. We have been working closely with Jonathan and the Kauffman Foundation for a number of months in preparation for next year’s prestigious Congress and I am sure his insights will stimulate and encourage the Liverpool business community.”
