Begbies launches Liverpool tax office

ACCOUNTANCY firm Begbies Traynor is to expand its tax division into its Liverpool office.

BTG Tax, the tax division of Begbies Traynor, will be offering tax advice out of the group’s existing office at 1 Old Hall Street. Director John Hill will lead the Liverpool team.

He said: “Our goal at BTG Tax is to provide a flexible and bespoke service to intermediaries and clients and this is what we will be bringing to Liverpool.”

Andrew McKenna, a director specialising in tax enquiry issues who will be working alongside Mr Hill, added: “Our key to success is working closely with other professionals so I hope BTG Tax will be well received in the local business community.

“These are difficult times for businesses, with cash flow problems and trading losses threatening their survival, so we will work hard to help them manage their tax and compliance burdens.”

Mr Hill and Mr McKenna will be joined by two senior managers: Mike Marsden, a VAT specialist, and Neil Byrne, a personal taxes specialist.

The BTG Tax team will be celebrating its launch at a reception at the Racquet Club in Liverpool on November 18 from 4.30pm.
