In-Shops buys in Brixton

A LIVERPOOL-based company which operates market hall venues within shopping centres has bought two market halls in Brixton.

The 30 year-old company, which is owned by French group Geraud, was advised on the purchase by Manchester-based law firm George Davies.

Real estate partner Caroline Hanratty, who advised on the deal alongside Paul Bibby, said: “Both of the halls in Brixton were listed buildings so they were really interesting properties to advise on. It is fantastic to act for such an established and successful North West company.”

In-Shops has a turnover of £15.5m. is run by chief executive Andrew Burnett and managing director Frederic Bonnet. In the North west, it operates In-Shops at centres in Accrington, Huyton, Kirkby and Ormskirk. Group Geraud also operates the market within Liverpool’s St John’s Centre.
