In Brief: Living Ventures honoured; award for The Rock’s Kitchen

LIVING Ventures, the Knutsford restaurant and rar operator, behind a number of leading venue in the region including Gusto, The Alchemist and most recently Australasia, has won an industry award.

The company was crowned Group Restaurant Employer award at the Best Employers in Hospitality Awards 2011.  Run by Caterer.com, staff completed   independent, confidential, online surveys about their employers.

Founder and managing director Tim Bacon said: “”We are delighted to receive this award – particularly as the nominations were from our staff!  It’s incredibly rewarding and humbling to hear that they appreciate the way we work together and I would like to thank them for helping us to be recognised in this way.  The success of Living Ventures is very much a team effort.”

Manchester-based Hallmark Hotels was named Best Small Group Hotel Employer at the awards, which were announced in London.

NIKKI Kitchen, from Bury’s shopping and retail centre The Rock, has been named Marketing Manager of the Year at Shopping Centre magazine’s SCEPTRE Awards.

The awards, held at The Dorchester in London last week, recognise best practice in the shopping centre industry.

Nikki was recognised for the development of an excellent marketing strategy for the launch of The Rock as well as maintaining momentum and interest in the scheme with ‘gutsy campaigns’ throughout the year.
