A LANCASHIRE law firm that specialises in road traffic accident cases plans increase its case volumes by 20%, after receiving funding through the Government’s EFG loan scheme.

Ormskirk-based Everett, which buys cases from personal injury intermediaries across the country and employs 20 staff, said it will take on at least another two staff to cope with the increased workloads.

It has secured a £265,000 funding package from NatWest, through the Enterprise Finance Guaranteescheme, to support its expansion plans.

John Mooney, managing partner of Mooney Everett, said: “During the last 12 months we have consolidated the firm by recruiting a number of experienced fee earners and we have now reached a position where we can increase the volume of cases we handle each month.

“To do this it is essential to have the right funding package in place to support the initial increase in our working capital requirements.”

Paul Gresham, relationship manager for NatWest’s Business & Commercial banking team in Liverpool, said: “This is a good example of how the EFG scheme can support the business plans of small and medium sized organisations such as Mooney Everett. It provides them with the flexibility to grow their operations.”
