Weaver Valley Partnership wants chairman
THE Weaver Valley Partnership, which aims to promote a sustainable economic future for Northwich, Winsford and Middlewich and surrounding rural areas, is on the lookout for a chairman.
The organisation is led by Cheshire West and Chester Council and includes Northwich Vision and Winning Winsford.
It wants prospective candidates for the £10,000 a year role to have a private sector background and be resident in, or work within the Weaver Valley.
They must have an extensive personal network across the region, an understanding of the public sector and know the importance of partnership based working, it said.
Their career will include leadership of a significant organisation and or a personal portfolio of non-executive appointments, acting as chairman or non executive director on boards of public or private bodies, it added.
Mike Jones, leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: “We would like as many people as possible to put their names forward for this interesting, challenging and rewarding post of chairman of the Partnership.
He added: “A critical factor will be an engaging personality, persuasive style, energetic enthusiasm and passion for delivering transformational change within the towns and surrounding areas of Northwich, Winsford and Middlewich.”
