Irish fashion label seeks £2m for UK launch

IRISH clothing brand Jack Doyle is hjoping to raise £2m from potential investors in Manchester next Month when it presents its expansion plan to venture capital network Envestors.

The clothing brand, which is named after a 1930s heavyweight boxer, currently has four stores in Ireland but wants to use use ppotential funding to set up showrooms in Manchester and other parts of the UK. It will pitch to investors at a presentation on July 13 at Barclays Wealth’s Manchester office.

“The brand’s heritage provides an emotive connection to the great man himself, his career and his Irish roots, whilst offering quality, tailored menswear that delivers universal appeal at affordable prices.

The event will showcase six new businesses in total looking to raise sums between £100,000 and £5m.
