Halton Housing picks fencing trio

PRESTON-based social housing contractor Forrest has landed a place on Halton Housing Trust’s framework agreement, which could be worth up to £9.5m.
Forrest is one of three contractors to have been chosen to deliver more than 30 miles of new perimeter fencing to the trust’s 4,000 properties. The other two are Rochdale-based P Casey and Bolton-based George Cox & Sons.
The framework will be completed over the next four years. It will include single access and driveway gates within neighbourhoods across Runcorn and Widnes.
Mark Lyons, managing director at Forrest, said: “For us, this agreement is testament to our own commitment to building lasting partnerships with our clients by delivering high quality projects and working responsibly within their neighbourhoods.”
Earlier this year, Forrest also won a place on a £40m framework from Halton Housing Trust on a neighbourhood improvement scheme called “Beyond the Garden Gate.”
Noel Sharpe, Halton Housing Trust’s executive director of customer services, said: “The Trust is delighted to be working with Forrest on both schemes and we are confident that Forrest’s knowledge and expertise in this market will add significant value to our customers and their homes.
“We are looking forward to a lasting relationship with Forrest.”
