Orders boost at green energy firm

RENEWABLE energy company Stiebel Eltron UK has announced a 20% hike in half-year turnover.

The Wirral based company, which is part of a Gerrman group, is continuing to win new orders for green energy products such as ground and air source heat pumps and solar panels.

Its latest is a deal with trade supplier giant Toolstation which is worth upwards of £300,000 every year.

Toolstation is one of the UK and Europe’s leading direct sale and online supplier of trade tools, accessories and hardware products.

UK managing director Mark McManus said he was pleased with the progress made so far in 2011.

“These are very good figures – we are pleased with our performance especially against a backdrop of economic uncertainty, and the business is still aiming to reach a target of 40% turnover increase by the end of the year.

“There are plenty of business prospects as we have shown through our deals with Underfloor Warehouse and Toolstation, two big names in the industry.”

Based in Bromborough, Wirral, Stiebel Eltron UK has 14 staff and with installer partners across the country. Its parent company has £450m turnover a year and 3,000 employees.
