H2O Networks, the Haydock-based fibre optic network specialist has promoted sales director Roy Shelton to managing director.
The company has also promoted Steve Ives, who joined the company in 2009 as programme director, to operations director.
The i3 Group, which owns H2O Networks, said it had undergone a reorganisation following its rapid expansion and that these roles had been created to support this growth.
Mr Shelton said: “H2O Networks is a truly innovative company and over the years has grown its products and services portfolio to deliver the full spectrum of business and fibre to the premises requirements. I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead this hugely successful part of the i3 Group and look forward to building on all that has been achieved so far.”

RETAIL training specialist Beyond The Box has appointed Maxine Prete to the role of operations manager.
Ms Prete joins the Stockport-based company from Carrier Travel where she also held the position of operations manager. She has 32 years experience in international operations management including airport manager for KLM Bahrain and Manchester, and travel centre co-ordinator at Air Miles.
Christine Knott, managing director of Beyond The Box, said: “Maxine has a wealth of high level management experience, and is extremely well placed for co-ordinating the activities of our national field and training teams.”

PROPERTY agency Matthews & Goodman has appointed Andrew Gardiner to head its office agency team in Manchester.
Mr Gardiner, a well-known figure on Manchester’s property scene, started in his new role this week after being made redundant from DTZ in April.
He will work alongside office agent Rob Peill at Matthews & Goodman’s Manchester office on Deansgate.
The firm has offices in Manchester, Liverpool and London.

STOCKPORT-based systems integration firm Hima-Sella has made six new appointments.
Neil Hibbert has been taken on as key account manager for safety and control; Nathan George as sales applications engineer; John Chadwick as technical support group supervisor.
It has also recruited three full-time principal engineers to its existing functional safety management team in Stockport.
Ian Wright, managing director at Hima-Sella, said: “These new appointments are part of our strategy for developing management talent within this business and will significantly boost our capability for delivering some of the most reliable safety-related system solutions in 2010 and beyond.”
