Tertiary widens drilling scope

MACCLESFIELD-basedTertiary Minerals has said that drilling will start at its Storuman fluorspar prospect in Sweden this week to gauge whether it can extend the area in which it has recently found minerals.

It also said that drilling would be carried out to “sterilise a potential process plant and tailings site”.

Meanwhile, the firm added that it has commissioned Wardell Armstrong to carry out a metallurgical testwork programme at its Lassedalen project in Norway to produce acid grade fluorspar from drill samples and provide data for preliminary economic evaluation.

The testwork programme is expected to take 6 months to complete, but the firm said that it would update markets on an interim basis.
