Liverpool-based Rippleffect has developed viral  video campaign to raise awareness, encourage sign-up and elicit feedback ahead of its launch.

The teaser video campaign, which features model and bongal.com co-founder Rory Marshall, directs users to its Facebook group and Twitter account to promote news of bongal.com’s launch next month

NORTH West software firm Nisyst, a specialist in the retail sector, has won a contract to work with independent chain Run 4 It.

Bolton-based Nisyst has devised a fully-integrated retail system to bring together the company’s five stores and website.

The solution provides enhanced business control with a finely-tuned reporting function featuring sales and VAT analysis, a larger range of capabilities including purchase ordering, profitability breakdown and inter-shop transfers and a more user-friendly interface.

McCann Manchester is targeting further growth for its digital business, Metro.

In its first year, Metro grew its staff numbers by 50% to 40. The unit, based in Basil Chambers, Manchester is responsible for conception, creation and delivery of integrated digital marketing solutions. Clients include London 2012 and Welcome To Yorkshire.

Chief executive Sue Little said: “At a time when clients are questioning every penny of marketing spend, digital offers a channel that delivers unprecedented levels of accountability and I am delighted with the growth we’ve achieved at Metro particularly against the backdrop of the deepest recession in living memory.

LANCASHIRE-based Viva PR has appointed former journalist Andy Neild as an account manager.

Mr Neild, 34, made the move into PR 18 months ago when he joined Ribchester-based PAPR.

Prior to that, he  was deputy sports editor with the Lancashire Telegraph.

Tony Garner, managing director of Viva, said: “Andy and I worked together on the sports desk at the Lancashire Telegraph and I know that he is a talented journalist, with an eye for a good story and a professionalism that will make him a valuable asset for Viva.

CHESHIRE’S Zeus PR, has appointed Victoria Tahmasebi as account manager.

At Congleton-based  Zeus she will work on accounts including Blue Bell BMW and MINI, Pockets designer menswear and Abbey College.

HALE company Peppermint PR has appointed three rising stars  as part of its inaugural ‘Fresh Mints’ graduate training programme.
