A GREEN technology company based in Preston has signed a deal which could be worth up to £1m a year to process a Scottish council's food and garden waste.

A GREEN technology company based in Chorley has signed a deal which could be worth up to £1m a year to process a Scottish council’s food and garden waste.

TEG Environmental will begin processing Perth and Kinross Council’s green waste on March 1.

The contract is for a 4-year term with a potential further 2-year extension and its value will be a minimum of £470,000 per annum.

It could be worth up to £1,050,000 per annum depending upon the amount of waste it is asked to process.

The mixed waste will be processed at the TEG Glenfarg in-vessel composting facility in Perthshire.

TEG Environmental is a part of AIM-listed TEG Group which specialises in developing and operating organic composting and energy plants.
