Ireland-listed digital firm opening up in city

Datalex, a company listed on the Irish St Stock Exchange (ISE: DLE), is launching a new office in Manchester city centre as part of its global expansion.

The company – a specialist in digital commerce for travel retailers – enables a travel marketplace of more than one billion shoppers covering every corner of the globe and driven by some of the world’s most innovative airline retail brands including Lufthansa Group, Virgin Atlantic and Air China.

Datalex has experienced double digit growth consecutively for the past seven years.

Last year it announced plans for extensive growth, to create 200 new jobs over 18 months across its global offices, including positions at its new Manchester base at 55 Spring Gardens.

55 Spring Gardens will become a centre of excellence for Datalex, developing key skills and expertise in software delivery, Java and Java-related web technologies, application support, automation testing and fares specialisations. Irish businessman and financier Dermot Desmond is Datalex’s majority shareholder.

The Datalex board as well as executive management will attend the launch party.

Business leaders, politicians, former Manchester United footballer Dennis Irwin and Datalex senior management and staff will make up the guest list.
