A new initiative to boost collaboration between Greater Manchester’s top-flight property specialists has been launched.

The Greater Manchester Property Group (GMPG) aims to bring together  a “Who’s Who” of  professionals to showcase new spaces and share ideas for the city`s on-going development.

The initiative is founded by Claire Beaumont, a partner in the commercial property team at Gorvins Solicitors and has partnered with Santander (Kenny Orpin), BDO (Tim Entwistle) and Knight Frank (David Porter), to establish the GMPG.

Beaumont said: “There are rarely opportunities for key players in the region`s property industry to  meet together on an informal basis, as well as identify ways they could work together for the benefit of the city.

“Manchester is now a world class city thanks to the pool of talented professionals whose personality and imagination have contributed so much to its continued growth.

“The GMPG will offer an exclusive platform for such top tier visionaries to informally network and explore how they can help each other for the ongoing prosperity of the city.”

The inaugural event meeting, took place on Monday at Michael O’Hare’s Manchester restaurant Rabbit in the Moon, where guest speakers was Anthony Kilbride, partner at Zerum development and design consultancy, which over saw the opening of the city`s Hotel Football, and Stewart Davies, group operations director for GG Hospitality.

Beaumont concluded: “It’s great to be working with key partners who are focused on the sector and advise so many businesses in the property industry in and around Manchester. Our programme of future events are already planned at some of the most exciting new spaces in Manchester which are due to complete over the next 12 months.”
