Tech firms sold to Danish group

Glossop technology company REACT Technology has been sold to the Danish R2P Group for an undisclosed sum.

REACT Technology provides technology products to assist those with specialist accessibility needs.

It was sold, along with Crawley-based Nimbus Journey Information, which provides transit technology for operators and transport agencies, by the companies’ owners Russell and Karen Gard.

Corporate finance advisers Cole Associates, led by David Middleton, and Manchester law firm Turner Parkinson, led by corporate partner Stephen Hadlow, advised on the deal.

Middleton said: “We are pleased to have found a purchaser that has allowed Russell and Karen to achieve their objectives and is ideally placed to take the businesses through the next stages of development in particular international expansion.”

Hadlow said: “Under the R2P umbrella, the business now has the scope to offer its innovative technology to wider worldwide markets.”
