Law firm’s revenue tops £9m

Cheshire law firm SAS Daniels achieved revenues of more than £9.1m in the financial year ending April 2017.

The figures were thanks to record billings by its commercial property, corporate and commercial litigation and family teams.

Continuing its year-on-year growth the law firm forecasts to increase revenue by a further 10% in the current financial year.

The past 12 months has seen the firm continue its organic growth strategy by adding new specialist service areas to its portfolio including food and agriculture.

The private client team also further expanded its offering by hiring health and social care and tax planning specialists.

SAS Daniels welcomed partner Stephen Foster to the employment team and associate solicitors Kerry Blackhurst and Victoria Timothy to the private client team. The firm also recently announced a management restructure with Jeremy Orrell becoming the firm’s managing partner.

Increasing its billings by more than 18%, the commercial property team won number of new clients including Anywl Land and Alliance Living. The team also successfully completed a number of deals over the year building on its strength in residential development, construction, retail and education sectors.

The corporate team also increased its billings by 9% and completed a number of notable deals including the acquisition of the High Court Enforcement Group and the sale of shareholders Prima Doors to Assa Abloy.

The family team also went from strength to strength and increased its billings by 23% and dispute resolution increased billings by 5%.

Orrell said: “It’s been another busy year for the firm as we continue to grow, with the addition of some new key members of staff and the introduction of new service offerings across all four of our Cheshire offices.

“We continue to build on our success and provide our clients with our results driven approach to service delivery. Our recent billings success is testimony to our hard work, skills and expertise in an increasing number of fields. We look forward to the year ahead.”
