Specialist food firm Dr Schär makes move to Warrington business park

Specialist food company Dr Schär has relocated to Birchwood park in Warrington, taking 4,423 sq ft to house its North West operations.

Dr Schär, which will move to 401 Faraday Street, specialises in the development and production of foods for people with special dietary needs, operating across Europe, North America and South America.

Andrew Owens, head of finance and administration at Dr Schär UK, said: “We’re committed to delivering a positive lifestyle for our staff, taking a healthy approach throughout our organisation which runs right through to the working environment we provide. With its community feel, wide range of onsite amenities and wellbeing initiatives, Birchwood Park was the obvious choice to help us ensure a healthy work/life balance for our staff.”

He added: “The park’s accessibility to the M62, regional airports and rail networks was also a huge factor in our decision to move to the park. With existing and prospective clients across the UK, Europe, North and South America, connectivity is important to our growth ambitions.”

Martin O’Rourke, commercial director at Birchwood Park, said: “Dr Schär’s strong health and wellbeing focus makes them the perfect fit for Birchwood Park. The quality of work and life that we offer at the park continues to prove a real draw for occupiers, especially as businesses place more onus on health and wellbeing. We’re honoured to welcome to the park a company of Dr Schär’s stature, that shares our belief that employees should expect more from their workplace.”

BE Group and JLL acted on behalf of Birchwood Park.
