Victrex on course for impressive full year as Q3 revenue tops £76m

Lancashire-based polymer specialist Victrex is well-placed for an impressive full year performance as third quarter revenues show a 26% improvement on 2016 at £76.3m (Q3 2016: £60.6m).

Year-to-date revenue for the Thornton Cleveleys company climbed 17% to £207.3m (2016: £177.6m), with its with automotive, electronics (ex-Consumer) and value added resellers being notably strong.

As expected, whilst Victrex saw some consumer electronics volumes during Q3, they were lower than the prior year.

In medical, the mature US Spine market continues to be a challenge to short term-growth although Q3 performance was slightly ahead of the prior year in constant currency.

“Pleasingly, our differentiated and innovative PEEK-OPTIMA HA Enhanced product, a premium and next generation offering which promotes bone-on growth, has now secured first meaningful revenues of over £1m and adoption rates are progressing,” a statement said.
