Six of the best for Loganair

Loganair is was boosting its Manchester-Glasgow service by 50%, up to six return flights a day.

Loganair, which has operated Flybe’s service between the biggest cities in the North West and Scotland for the last eight years, ends its franchise agreement with that airline on September 1.

From that date, Loganair will be flying solo, branded as Scotland’s airline, with the tails of its Saab aircraft resplendent in a red, black and white tartan – and continuing its service to Glasgow.

Managing director Jonathan Hinkles said: “We might be a new name for many travellers in the North West, but the fact is we have been flying from Manchester for the last eight years.

“Customers happy with the current Flybe-branded service between Manchester and Glasgow should know that by using Loganair from September 1 they will have the same aircraft, the same pilots, the same cabin crew and the same great service.

“The only difference is that we will be giving you more,with a schedule that is truly business friendly including attractive and flexible fares, free luggage and no credit card fees, some of which wasn’t open to us when we were bound by the Flybe franchise deal.”

In addition to the six-a-day Glasgow service, Loganair will be offering flights to Norwich, which it also previously operated under the Flybe franchise agreement.

From Manchester, Loganair will also offer excellent onward connections from Glasgow to the Highlands and Islands, meaning the North West will have access to the most beautiful and remote areas of Scotland for those travelling on business or leisure.
In total, flights to Glasgow will operate 28 times a week, while Norwich will see 16 services per week.
